This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The package contains one resin, 3D-printed ejection seat SJU-4 including seatbelts in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer recommends it for the AV-8B Harrier II Plus kit from manufacturer UMa. The aircraft itself is not included in the package.

The SJU-4 is an ejection seat used in the cockpit of the American attack aircraft AV-8B Harrier II. On the model, the seat is the cockpit's most prominent element — with the Harrier's canopy open, practically all of it is visible. 3D printing offers what injection-molded plastic cannot: sharp frame edges, a thin ejection handle, fine straps, and cushion structure. Cast belts also mean you don't need to buy separate photo-etch.

Use and fitting

• Carefully separate the seat from the print supports with a cutter or fine saw; don't break the thin parts.
• Before painting, wash the part with lukewarm water and dish soap — this removes release agent and print resin residue.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue); plastic cement does not hold on resin.
• Sand wet and with respiratory protection; do not inhale resin dust.
• Spray a primer, then the colors; pick out the belts and handles in separate colors and highlight the whole with a wash and dry-brushing.
• Dry-fit the part — seating it into the cockpit tub may need small adjustments.
