Pilot seats for the helicopters of the Sikorsky UH-60, SH-60 and MH-60 family in the early version, in 1:32 scale. An accessory for detailing the cabin.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sikorsky UH-60 is an American twin-engine helicopter that replaced older machines in the US Army from the end of the 1970s and grew into a whole family of versions. The naval SH-60 serves from the decks of ships, and the designation MH-60 is carried by machines adapted for special duties. The crew seats on these helicopters are no ordinary chair: they have an armored shell and are mounted so as to absorb part of the energy in a hard landing. The qualifier early in the name refers to the first versions, which differ from the later ones in details of the cabin fittings.
Pilot seats in 1:32 scale intended to replace the kit parts. In the cabin of a helicopter both chairs are clearly visible through the glazing and the open doors, so they are worth working on. Before gluing, try the parts dry where they are to sit, because the floor of the cabin and the console differ between kits.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest carefully, so that the edges of the shell stay sharp. The parts are not polystyrene, so join them with cyanoacrylate glue; wash and degrease them before painting. Lay the paint on in a thin layer, otherwise the texture of the upholstery will be lost. Choose the shades according to sources on the particular machine; wear appears mainly on the edges of the cushion and on the backrest. The particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For helicopter modelers who build in a large scale and want the cabin brought to a finish. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
