On a motorcycle model there is nothing to hide. The frame, the engine and the fork stay exposed and the viewer has their joints in view all the time. A bolt suggested in the mold, though, has a flat head with no depth, and after the paint is sprayed all that is left of it is a ring. A separate part, by contrast, stands above the surface, has a shadow of its own and will take a close look or a macro shot.
This is an imitation bolt with a nut complemented by a large washer, in a single dimension of 1.0 millimeter. A wide washer is used on a real machine where the load is spread into a softer material or into thin sheet metal, so on a model it suits covers, fenders, brackets and supports rather than the main joints of an engine. How large a joint the part represents on a finished model depends on the scale of the build, so compare it with the subject and with the surrounding parts before gluing. The set is sold in one size, so it can be combined with the other dimensions of the same family.
Lay the parts out on a light surface from which they are easy to pick up and take them with fine-tipped tweezers. Carrying them on the moistened tip of a toothpick works too. For an accurate position drill a shallow recess which fixes the place for the part, and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount on the tip of a wire. Wipe the surplus off immediately; once dry it leaves a flat ridge around the head. Painting is easier before gluing, on double-sided tape. Before that, wash and degrease the surface of the model so that the primer takes.
