Outland TIE fighter - single-sided painting mask (1:65)

This is a set of painting masks, not a kit. The masks are cut from quality masking film and serve for accurate masking of the cockpit glazing and other areas of the Outland TIE fighter model in 1:65 scale. The version is single-sided and pre-cut, so the parts only have to be peeled off and applied.

What the mask is for

The cockpit and the characteristic hexagonal panels of the TIE fighter have many sharp edges that are difficult to mask with tape. The mask follows their shape exactly, protects the surrounding areas from overspray and ensures a crisp transition between the frame color and the glazing.

Use

• Lift the parts with sharp tweezers and place them on a clean, degreased surface
• Press the edges down carefully so that no paint seeps under the mask
• Spray in thin coats with thinned paint at a lower pressure
• Lift the mask while the paint is still fresh
