1:7 Path One is a resin bust from Alternity Miniatures in the large 1:7 scale. It is supplied as a casting to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
An original resin bust in one of the largest scales used in figure work. The 1:7 scale means a format even bigger than the usual 1:10, and the demand on the painting matches it: at this size every stroke of the brush is visible, but at the same time room opens up for procedures that make no sense in a small scale, from smooth glazes to fine veining of the eyes and the hair.
It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model of equipment, but an exhibition piece of its own. The upper part of the figure is shown, and the main value lies in the expression and the surface painting. The casting is supplied unpainted, divided into parts for easier painting.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, so that no mold release agent stays on the surface. Cut the casting blocks away with a saw and level the surfaces carefully, as in a large scale every unevenness is clearly visible. Sand resin wet and with protection of the airways. Glue with super glue, fill the gaps with filler and sand them over. Before painting apply a thin and even primer, best with an airbrush, because a thick layer would clog the detail at this scale. Build the face in layers: a base tone, a deepening of the shadows with glazes, warmer tones on the nose, the ears and the lips, cooler ones around the eyes. The transitions are worth blending patiently, as on a large area a sharp step of color is immediately noticeable. Finish the hair and the cloth only after the skin and distinguish them by the degree of sheen as well.
The bust is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
