An add-on detail set from FineMolds in 1:700 scale. It holds fine castings of the anti-aircraft fire control directors used by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It serves to refine the superstructures of warship models and is not a stand-alone ship model.
Anti-aircraft fire control instruments, the so-called directors, served to lay on targets and pass data to the anti-aircraft guns. They were placed high on the superstructures and masts so as to have the best possible view. They were key to the effective defense of a ship against air attack.
Separate the small parts from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Place them on the superstructures and masts with tweezers. We recommend a primer, painting with an airbrush and a fine wash to bring out the shapes.
This is an add-on instrument set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
