Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Chiyoda in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima. The model is part of the classic line of waterline models of warships and consists of injection-molded plastic parts. The parts have to be assembled and painted; decals and illustrated instructions are usually part of the package, depending on the particular edition.
Chiyoda was one of the ships of the Chitose class, and she began her career as a seaplane tender, later also as a carrier of midget submarines. After the losses of the Japanese aircraft carriers at Midway she was rebuilt into a light aircraft carrier. She took part in the fighting in the Philippine Sea and was sunk in October 1944 during the Battle off Cape Engano by a combination of air strikes, cruiser gunfire and torpedoes.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and plan the sequence from the hull through the flight deck to the superstructures and the armament. The hull and the decks are ideal for an airbrush, and the small details can be refined with a brush. You will liven up the flight deck and the sides with washes and a dry brush, and with aftermarket photo-etched railings for more realism if you wish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
