Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the proven Waterline series. The model is built as a waterline kit, that is, only the part of the ship above the waterline with a flat bottom, so once assembled it stands flat and looks like a vessel afloat. The package includes waterslide decals and several armament options.
The Hatsuyuki was one of the special type destroyers of the Fubuki class, which in their day represented a major leap in the armament and performance of Japanese destroyers. They carried heavy 12.7 cm guns in turrets and a strong torpedo armament. The Hatsuyuki took part in the fighting in the Pacific and was lost during the war.
Because of the waterline concept no stand is needed; the model can be set straight onto a base or onto a representation of the sea surface. Clean the small parts of the superstructure and the masts carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Fine photo-etched railings from accessory sets bring the look to life. The hull is usually sprayed in a shade of Japanese naval gray and the decks in darker tones, and light weathering and picking out the panels suit the finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
