Trumpeter SB2U Scout Bomber 1:700 is a set of miniature Vought SB2U Vindicator carrier-borne bombers in 1:700 scale, intended for filling the decks of aircraft carrier models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from Trumpeter contains a set of miniature Vought SB2U Vindicator carrier-borne scout bombers in 1:700 scale. It is not one large aircraft model but a set of several small aircraft in injection-molded plastic for filling the decks of models of aircraft carriers and other ships in the same scale.
The Vought SB2U Vindicator was an early American carrier-borne scout and dive bomber, a monoplane of the late 1930s with a radial engine. It was used at the beginning of the Second World War, among other places during the fighting in the Pacific. It represents one of the first modern carrier-borne monoplanes of the US Navy.
Because of the small scale, use a sharp knife and tweezers and glue with thin plastic cement in small amounts. The aircraft can be painted with a brush as well as an airbrush; the fine details come out with a dry brush. It works well to paint the aircraft before they are set on the deck.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
