This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard is intended for detailed refinement of the plastic model of the American aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6) in 1:700 scale. It is neither a model nor a kit but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic parts with fine photo-etched features such as railings, ladders, radars, platforms and other small details of the superstructures and the deck.
USS Enterprise (CV-6), nicknamed the Big E, was a Yorktown-class aircraft carrier and one of the most celebrated ships of the US Navy in the Second World War. She took part in most of the key operations in the Pacific and became the most decorated ship of the US Navy in that conflict.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and make the bends with a bending tool or with tweezers. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for gluing; the parts can also be soldered. Degrease them before painting and apply a primer, which will make the paint adhere to the metal.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
