Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, meant for refining the plastic kit of the Douglas A-1H Skyraider piston attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is neither a model nor a kit - it is an accessory that replaces or completes plastic parts with more true-to-life metal ones. Photo-etched parts thinner than plastic give the cockpit and the exterior surfaces depth and structure that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider is a single-engined piston attack aircraft that became famous for its large load of bombs and rockets and its extraordinary endurance over the battlefield. Although it came about at the close of the Second World War, it still served in Korea and Vietnam, where it flew close support and escorted rescue operations. The A-1H version was one of the most widespread single-seat variants.
The finest parts belong in the interior before the fuselage is closed, while small exterior additions are glued onto the finished model. Cut the parts off with a sharp knife close to the fret and form the bends over the edge of a ruler or with a bending tool. Bond them with a tiny drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Because of their size the set is meant for advanced modelers - tweezers and a magnifier are worth having.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
