Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese naval fighter Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero (Allied code name Zeke) in 1:72 scale from Tamiya. It is a modern kit with superbly engraved surfaces and a well thought-out build that goes together easily. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the contents of the box and the number of finishing schemes, follow the enclosed instructions.
The A6M Zero was the main fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in the Second World War. The A6M5 variant (Type 52) was a development of the earlier versions - it received shortened rounded wingtips and a new exhaust system, which improved speed and response. It was used in the second half of the war in the Pacific, where it faced ever more capable American fighters. Its armament included machine guns and 20 mm cannons.
Assemble and paint the multi-part cockpit before you close up the fuselage; mask the canopy glazing before spraying. Spray the base coat over a primer and use an airbrush for smooth transitions between the Japanese shades. A restrained amount of paint wear on the leading edges and a light wash in the panel lines suit the subject. Fit the landing gear, the propeller and the drop tank at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
