Aero L-29 Delfin in 1:72 scale from Eduard in the ProfiPACK edition — an injection-molded plastic kit with color photo-etched parts, masks and several marking options.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak jet trainer Aero L-29 Delfin in 1:72 scale. The ProfiPACK edition from Eduard is the higher-equipment version of a classic kit: besides the plastic parts it contains a set of pre-colored photo-etched parts (for example cockpit details and harnesses), self-adhesive painting masks for the glazing and a decal sheet with several marking options. The box offers five marking schemes.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first series-produced jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design. It came about at the end of the 1950s as a two-seat subsonic trainer with tandem cockpits and was powered by a home-built turbojet. Thanks to its reliability and simple maintenance it became the standard basic jet trainer of most Warsaw Pact states and was built in large numbers. It served for basic and advanced flying training and in some countries for light combat duties as well.
Use liquid modeling cement for plastic on the joints between the plastic parts. Apply a primer before painting, which unifies the surface and brings out any shortcomings. Lay the paints down with an airbrush in thin coats; the pre-colored photo-etched parts markedly simplify the detailed rendering of the cockpit. The masks supplied make clean spraying of the canopy framing easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
