Eduard 1:72 B-24D Undercarriage detail set is a photo-etched accessory for sharpening the landing gear of a plastic model of the B-24D Liberator bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a set for improving a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker Eduard contains photo-etched brass parts aimed at the landing gear and the gear bays of a plastic model of the four-engine B-24D Liberator bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not a standalone kit of the aircraft but an accessory that adds fine texture and detail to the landing gear area, where the plastic parts tend to be simplified.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was one of the most widespread American heavy bombers of the Second World War. The early B-24D version carried its defense in several gun positions and was marked out by its characteristic high-mounted Davis wing. Liberators operated over Europe, Africa and the Pacific and became famous partly for their raids on the Romanian oil fields.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them in a bending tool or between two rulers. Use cyanoacrylate to glue them. It pays to assemble and paint the landing gear bay area before closing the fuselage and the nacelles, so that access is comfortable.
The set is supplied unassembled. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
