The set brings fully colored instrument panels and consoles of both cockpits of the BAe Hawk T1 jet trainer in 1:72 scale. These are not ordinary marking decals but micro-printed 3D decals with relief: the color artwork on a flexible film gives the instruments a three-dimensional, legible appearance. The cockpit detail is therefore achieved without the laborious painting of tiny dials.
The BAe Hawk T1 is a British two-seat jet aircraft for advanced pilot training and light combat duties. It became known for its reliability, its long service with the Royal Air Force and its use by an aerobatic team, which made it one of the best known trainers in the world.
The decals go on with the wet technique: cut the part out, dip it briefly in water and transfer it to the instrument panel. It pays to bring the surface to an even matte finish, settle it with a softener and let it dry properly so that the film beds down over the edges of the panels; once it is down, do not move it and give it at least 45 minutes.
This is an accessory for detailing the cockpit, not an aircraft model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
