The set brings fully colored instrument panels and side consoles of the Sea Harrier FRS.1 carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. These are not ordinary marking decals but micro-printed 3D decals with relief: the color artwork sits on a flexible film, so the dials and switches look raised and legible. Cockpit detail is thus achieved without laborious painting and without sanding resin parts.
The Sea Harrier FRS.1 was a British carrier aircraft with vertical and short takeoff and landing (V/STOL), intended for fighter, reconnaissance and strike duties. It became famous for its service with the Royal Navy during the Falklands War, where its ability to operate from small carriers and to fight at close range proved itself.
The decals are applied by the wet method: the part is cut out, dipped briefly in water and moved onto the instrument panel. It is worth evening the surface out to matte, settling the decal with a softener and letting it dry thoroughly so that it beds down even over the edges.
This is an accessory for detailing a cockpit, not an aircraft model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
