A display base for a 1:72 model with the motif of a Polish air base is an acrylic board 280 x 180 mm and 3 mm thick. It replaces a single-color background with a realistic surface.

The Polish name Baza Lotnicza means an air base and hints at what the print is devoted to: not a flag, but the surface of an airfield on which a machine really stood. The board is 280 x 180 mm, 3 mm thick and weighs 170 g. It is supplied by the Ukrainian brand Kelik.
A model placed on a smooth single-color area looks like an exhibit on display, whereas the same machine on an imitation of an airfield surface looks as though it had just arrived from a test flight. For photographers it is a way to get a setting into a shot without building a whole diorama.
It offers itself under Polish MiG-29s, the Su-22 ground-attack aircraft, the PZL TS-11 Iskra trainer or older interwar types. It is usable generally, however, because concrete and asphalt areas look similar at airfields all over the world. There is a second variant on the same theme as well, so two boards side by side can manage even a longer scene with a taxiway. The hard surface on the print will take the addition of tire tracks or small oil stains with ordinary weathering products.
The board comes without a model; that one is left to you.
