Eduard 1:72 Bf 109F wheels PRINT is a set of 3D printed resin wheels for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:72 scale. It is a detail add-on for a kit, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard replaces the landing gear wheels of a plastic model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:72 scale with parts made by 3D printing in resin. Wheels are among the parts where the quality of the mold shows at once: the tread pattern, the shape of the rim and the transition from tire to rim tend to be markedly crisper with printing.
The Bf 109F was a single-engine fighter with a narrow main landing gear track that retracted into the wing. The wheels were fairly small for the weight of the aircraft and when standing the tire visibly settled onto the ground, which is exactly the detail that on models is often handled with replacement parts.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry. Cut the print supports off with a fine saw, true the seating face with a file and protect your airways while sanding. They are bonded with super glue. When painting, separate the tire from the rim: the tire looks best in a dark gray shade rather than in pure black, and the rim is then painted in with a brush or masked. A light touch of dust pigment around the circumference of the tire settles the model into its setting. If the set contains painting masks, use them only once the base coat is dry.
The set is an add-on for a kit, not a stand-alone model. The basic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
