This set from Quinta Studio holds three-dimensional (3D) interior decals: panels shaped in relief and printed in color beforehand on decal paper. The real subject

The BM-30 Smerch is a large-caliber rocket launcher carried on an off-road truck chassis. The launch tubes are held in a traversing pack behind the cabin, while the crew cabin itself is an ordinary vehicle one and on a model it is clearly visible through the glazing. A finely worked instrument panel therefore lifts the impression of the finished model considerably, even at 1:72 scale.

Usage tips

Fit the panels into the cabin before you close it up and glaze it. Degrease the surface beforehand and paint the surrounding areas, so that you do not then have to work around a finished decal. Three-dimensional decals have a different procedure from classic wet decals, so follow the instructions in the package. Leave out the softener and the setting solution, then, because they would attack the printed resin. In 1:72 scale fine-tipped tweezers and good lighting pay off. Fit the cabin glazing only once everything has dried completely.
