1:72 Tiger I – the vehicles of Michael Wittmann, part 2 is a decal set for models of the German Tiger I heavy tank in 1:72 scale from WEIKERT DECALS.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set for models of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the small 1:72 scale. It is the second part of a numbered line devoted to the vehicles of the commander Michael Wittmann; the first part comes out in the same scale under the same base name. It is an accessory for a finished, painted model, not a kit. The maker is WEIKERT DECALS.
The Tiger I, factory designation Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E, was a heavy tank with an 8.8 cm gun and heavy vertical armor. Michael Wittmann was a German tank commander, and his vehicles are among the most closely documented machines of this type in history, so their markings can be traced on period photographs. Check on the packaging which particular vehicles this part of the line carries.
In 1:72 scale the designs are very small and the film is relatively thick against them, so preparation is what decides. Seal the area with gloss clear and let it dry. Trim the design as close to the print as possible, or the edge of the film will show once it is dry. Dip the decal in water for only a moment and transfer it on the tip of a brush or on a dampened wooden skewer. Use the softener sparingly — a small design wrinkles in it easily. Once dry, unify the whole model with matte clear.
