An instrument panel for a model of the British high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft Canberra PR Mk.9 in 1:72 scale. An accessory for a model that you obtain separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Canberra PR Mk.9 is the reconnaissance version of the British Canberra jet aircraft. It was created for photographic reconnaissance from great altitudes, and it was therefore given an enlarged wing area and more powerful engines than the bomber version. The forward part of the fuselage is adapted for the photographic equipment and the navigator's station. With the Royal Air Force it was among the types that lasted exceptionally long in the reconnaissance role.
A replacement instrument panel for a model in 1:72 scale. It replaces the part from the kit and brings a sharper rendering of the instruments, which shows above all on cockpits that are left open or have a clear canopy with no framing.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue in a small amount. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away carefully, so that the rendering is not damaged. Before painting, wash and degrease the part and apply a base color, otherwise the shade rubs off during handling. The dial faces stand out if, once the base shade has dried, they are gone over with a dark enamel paint and the excess wiped off the surface. Test dry first whether the panel will go through the cockpit opening; with some kits the sides of the fuselage have to be narrowed or the mating surface shortened. The particular preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
