Star Decals 1:72 Canadian M113 in Bosnia - Balkan Peacekeepers No. 2 is a sheet of waterslide decals with the markings of Canadian armored vehicles of the peacekeeping forces in the Balkans.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a sheet of wet, that is waterslide, decals in 1:72 scale, not a kit. The set is devoted to the Canadian M113 series tracked carriers deployed in Bosnia, specifically the M113A2 and M113A2 ACAV versions, the M577A1 command vehicle and the M113A2 TUA anti-tank version. The decals will round out matching plastic models with the markings of peacekeeping units.
The M113 is a widespread American tracked carrier with an aluminum hull whose versions served with armies all over the world. The Canadian machines operated in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s as part of the international peacekeeping forces. The vehicles carried white finishes and large identification marks, national insignia and the symbols of the peacekeeping missions, so that they would be clearly distinguishable from the fighting sides.
Coat the area under the decal with a gloss varnish so that it beds down perfectly. Soak the cut-out decal in lukewarm water, slide it onto the model and set its position. A decal softener will help it settle into the detail, and a final matte varnish will blend the markings into the surface.
This is a standalone sheet of decals. The models, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
