An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Cessna CH-1 Skyhook helicopter in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Amodel. It is a typical short-run kit with rougher finishing, which will appreciate a little experience when cleaning the parts up. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The CH-1 Skyhook was the only helicopter the Cessna company ever made. It was powered by a piston engine placed in the forward section, which gave the machine a stable center of gravity, and it had a single two-blade main rotor. It was the last piston-engined helicopter to set an altitude record, and the first helicopter to land on the summit of Pikes Peak.
Before gluing, clean the parts of mold flash and line them up dry; with short-run kits count on fine-tuning the seams with filler. Glue the cabin glazing with cement for canopies, so that it does not go cloudy. Paint with an airbrush after applying a primer; the smooth surfaces of the fuselage will appreciate gloss varnish under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
