A civilian figure item from the range of Dynamo-Models for 1:72 scale. According to the name this is a child waving a small flag, that is a subject tied to scenes of a welcome and of a column passing through a village. It is neither a kit nor a finished scene with a base, but a figure accessory to a composition of your own.
A diorama needs figures of differing heights, otherwise it reads flat. A child also works as a guide to scale: vehicles and buildings beside it gain the right proportions at once and the scene takes on a civilian, peaceful undertone even where a military machine otherwise stands. The subject of welcoming a column is among the most frequently built scenes from the liberation of European towns and villages, so this item goes well with the other civilian figures of the same series.
Place the figure at the edge of a road or on a sidewalk so that its silhouette is readable against the background - in 1:72 scale a small pose hidden behind the vehicles will be lost. Settle it dry and level the gap under the feet by shimming. Build the painting on a base tone, darker shading of the folds and a lighter lightening of the edges. Paint the flag separately so that the divides between the areas stay sharp.
