1:72 Czechoslovak pilots in Ilyushin Il-2m3´s / Part I

Czechoslovak pilots in the Il-2m3 decals, part I (1:72, AML)

A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AML for plastic models of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-2m3 ground-attack aircraft (the Shturmovik). The set brings the markings of the machines of Czechoslovak airmen on the Eastern Front at the end of the war and offers two color options with a color guide.

The real subject

The Il-2 Shturmovik was an armored Soviet ground-attack aircraft, a key ground support weapon of the Red Army; the two-seat Il-2m3 version carried a rear gunner. Members of the Czechoslovak air units on the Eastern Front fought on these machines in 1945 as well.

Application tips

• Apply them onto smooth gloss varnish so that silvering does not appear.
• Use a softener so that the decal settles onto the engraving and the panel lines.
• Seal the markings with a matte varnish matching the camouflage.

Who the set is for

• Modelers of Czechoslovak airmen on the Eastern Front.
• Anyone interested in Soviet ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War.
• Collectors in 1:72 scale.

This is a standalone decal sheet, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
