Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of a light single-engine high-wing monoplane in 1:72 scale in injection-molded plastic. The QUAX Edition designation refers to the German association that operates historic aircraft, whose machine appears among the finishes on offer in the box. With this manufacturer you commonly meet a short-run molding, which calls for more fitting than a mainstream kit.
The Dornier Do 27 was a single-engine high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear, designed for liaison and general-purpose use and marked out by its short takeoff and landing ability. A large glazed cabin with a good view and rugged landing gear made it a natural for operations from improvised strips. Besides military service the type also reached civilian hands, and a number of machines still fly today in the care of historic aircraft associations, which is also the case with the finish this edition aims at.
With short-run kits, count on dry fitting the parts before gluing and, where needed, sanding the mating surfaces down. The large glazed cabin dominates the model, so it pays to invest time in masking the frames and in gluing the clear parts cleanly with an adhesive that does not fog. Civilian finishes tend to be glossy, so apply a filler primer and spray the paint in thin coats; lay the decals on a gloss surface and fix them with a clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
