EMW C-2 Wasserfall W5 in 1:72 scale is a plastic kit of the German surface-to-air guided missile of the end of the Second World War, from Brengun.
Responsibility details are not available.
The injection-molded plastic kit captures the German experimental Wasserfall surface-to-air guided missile. Besides the plastic parts the package holds resin accessories and a photo-etched fret for fine detail; a launch ramp with a stand for displaying the finished model is included as well. It is a smaller but detailed model of a missile, not of an airplane.
The Wasserfall was a guided surface-to-air missile developed in Germany during the Second World War. In concept it grew out of the A-4 (V-2) rocket, but it was smaller and intended to destroy Allied bomber formations. It was to be guided by command from the ground. The project did not reach combat deployment by the end of the war and remained at the stage of prototypes and trials.
Use a thin plastic cement on the joints of the plastic parts, and bond the resin and photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting. The trials machines of the period carried striking contrasting finishes which are worth bringing out with an airbrush; the decals add the small technical lettering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
