Hobby 2000 1:72 General Dynamics F-111F Operation Desert Storm is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American tactical strike aircraft with a variable-geometry wing in its Gulf War form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat General Dynamics F-111F Aardvark strike aircraft in 1:72 scale. The Hobby 2000 set combines plastic moldings with its own decal sheet focused on machines deployed during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Clear parts for the cockpit glazing and assembly instructions are included.
The F-111F was the ultimate tactical strike derivative of the Aardvark family, powered by uprated engines and fitted with the Pave Tack targeting system for the accurate delivery of laser-guided munitions. The variable-geometry wing allowed a slow takeoff and approach as well as a fast run low over the terrain. During Operation Desert Storm the F-111F machines carried out a large part of the precision strikes against ground targets.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a sharp knife and join them with thin cement for plastic. Decide on the position of the wing in advance so that it lines up. We recommend a base of primer, applying the matte shades with an airbrush and coating the areas under the decals with gloss varnish. Bring out the panel lines and concentrate the fine wear around the nozzles and the landing gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
