An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk stealth aircraft in 1:72 scale from Aero Plast. The F-117 Nighthawk was the first combat aircraft designed from the ground up for a low radar signature (stealth technology). Despite the F in its designation it was not a fighter but a single-seat subsonic aircraft for precise ground attack in darkness. The faceted surface scatters radar waves and, together with absorbent materials and buried engines, markedly reduces its detectability. First used in combat at the end of the nineteen eighties, it became famous in the Gulf War; it was withdrawn from service in 2008.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue clean joints with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Keep the sharp faceted edges of the airframe while sanding the seams. Lay down a primer before painting; the all-black matte finish typical of this machine covers best with an airbrush. Pick out the panel lines only gently, so that the surface stays uniformly dark.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
