This resin 3D-printed detail set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles on models of the carrier fighter F-14A Tomcat in 1:72 scale. The nozzles are in the closed position (petals drawn in), that is in the state that corresponds to running without full afterburner, typically while parked on deck. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that markedly raises the fidelity of one of the most conspicuous parts of the airframe.
It replaces the simplified nozzles from the box with finely rendered parts with faithful internal and external geometry. The nozzles are very visible on a model and replacing them raises the realism at once.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, carefully separate them from the supports and sand the area smooth. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. When sanding resin, protect your airways and do not breathe the dust in.
The set contains resin parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
