The F-15C Eagle exhaust nozzles - late version 1:72 (Aires) is a resin detail set of the exhaust nozzles for building the McDonnell Douglas F-15C fighter. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Aires in 1:72 scale replaces the exhaust nozzles of both engines with accurate copies detailed inside and out. The parts match the late version of the F-15C nozzles. The simplified kit parts are thus replaced by precisely made nozzles with fine relief on the petals. It is an accessory to be built into a kit, not a model in its own right.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine fighter made for gaining air superiority. The F-15C version is single-seat and is one of the most widespread forms of this type. The engines end in a pair of circular nozzles whose shape differs in detail on the later machines.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The nozzles are painted in metallic shades with heat staining; a combination of metallic paints and tinting clears plus a final wash works well. Stir metallic paints thoroughly, as the pigment settles. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
