Replacement wheels in 1:72 for a model of the F-16C/D in the Block 40 and later versions. An accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of replacement wheels for a model of the single-engine F-16 fighter in the C and D versions, in the Block 40 and later form. The later blocks were heavier than the early machines and their landing gear differs from the older versions, so the wheels are not interchangeable across versions. If you are building a model of a particular machine, it pays to watch this detail: the wheels are clearly visible on a finished model and their shape tends to be the first thing an informed eye notices.
In a kit a wheel is usually split into two halves and a groove is left along the axis of the joint, which has to be sanded back together with the fine tread pattern. A replacement wheel is one piece, so you do not have to deal with the joint and the pattern of both tire and hub stays untouched. The extent of the set and the number of wheels are given in the instructions from the manufacturer.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder back carefully so as not to touch the shape of the tire. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Do not spray the tire with a saturated black; a dark gray looks more convincing in a small scale. The hub is cleaner to paint separately, or to mask with narrow tape. Fit the finished wheels only after the landing gear has been painted, otherwise you will easily scratch them against the surrounding parts.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
