Citroën 2CV Charleston is a kit of plastic bricks of the COBI brand — the two-tone version of the 2CV, which is assembled by clicking the parts together with no glue and no painting.

A kit from the system of plastic bricks of the Polish manufacturer COBI capturing one of the best-known late editions of the 2CV. It is not an injection-molded plastic model: the parts are not cut from sprues, they are not glued or sanded, they are merely clicked into one another according to pictorial instructions. The characteristic two-tone body is handled by the shade of the bricks themselves, so the model does not have to be painted in any way once the build is done.
The Charleston was a special edition of the Citroën 2CV of the 1980s, which took up the two-tone paintwork of the cars of the interwar era and became so popular that a limited series turned into a regular production version. Technically it was a late 2CV with an air-cooled flat-twin boxer engine, front-wheel drive, long-travel suspension and a canvas roll-back roof. The distinguishing feature is precisely the contrasting combination of two shades on the body and a different treatment of the details compared with the earliest forms of type A.
The build needs no tools or modeling chemicals. Work on a light surface with a rim and seat the bricks straight and fully home — a single layer not pushed down carries through into the proportions of the whole body. On a two-tone model it pays to sort the bricks by shade beforehand, otherwise it is easy to get lost in the instructions. Fit the printed parts only when their orientation is certain; pulling printing off repeatedly does it no good. The finished car can be taken apart; for long-term display a case is advisable, because light surfaces catch dust.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The bricks are joined by clicking together; glue and paints are not needed to finish it and are not included in the package.
