The injection-molded plastic kit Hasegawa 1:72 F-16C Block 52 Thunderbirds captures a machine of the American display team and brings a cloth patch in the box as well.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa represents the F-16C Fighting Falcon of the Thunderbirds, the aerobatic display team of the US Air Force. It is a limited edition that also includes a cloth sew-on patch of the team. The decal sheet lets you build any of the machines in the formation. The set corresponds to the Block 52 subversion including the characteristic antenna fairings ahead of the cockpit.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a light, agile multirole fighter with excellent maneuverability and a single-engine layout. The Thunderbirds display team of the US Air Force uses it for demonstration flying and representation; the white, red and blue finish is its hallmark. The subjects gathered in this box correspond to the machines of the whole team formation.
Use thin modeling cement on the plastic. Because the red and blue elements of the scheme are rendered as decals, spray the airframe pure white with an airbrush first and only then apply the decals; a smooth and even white base is essential. Mask the canopy glazing, and assemble and paint the stores and the gear bays before closing up the airframe. A gloss coat under the decals will prevent silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
