Replacement engine exhaust nozzles in 1:72 scale in the Type 1 form for a model of the F-18 Super Hornet from Hasegawa kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Super Hornet is an American twin-engine carrier combat aircraft. The exhaust nozzles of its engines are a conspicuous place on a model: they sit side by side at the end of the fuselage, have an articulated surface made up of petals and differ markedly in color from the rest of the airframe, because heat has left its mark on them. That is precisely why a replacement part with deeper and finer shaping pays off there.
These are replacement exhaust nozzles in 1:72 scale in the form designated Type 1, which distinguishes the variants within the manufacturer's range. The set is drawn for Hasegawa kits and is an accessory to a kit, not a stand-alone model. How many parts it carries and how to put them together are given in the manufacturer's instructions supplied with it.
The parts are not polystyrene, and ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface smooth. Fit the nozzle dry first and check how it sits in the fuselage, and only then glue it in. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you close the part up; the heat tones are applied in thin translucent coats over a metallic base.
A set of nozzles is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
