This resin detail set contains faithfully rendered exhaust nozzles for the F-4 Phantom II in the later E, F, G, J and S versions in 1:72 scale from Aires. It is an accessory for a kit that replaces the simplified plastic nozzles with fine structure on the petals and in the interior.

The real subject

The F-4 Phantom II was an American two-seat, twin-engine multirole aircraft, one of the most widespread combat machines of its era. The later E, F, G, J and S versions brought reworked engines, avionics and armament and also differed in the form of the tail, which shows in the shape of the exhaust nozzles.

Building and usage tips

First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and dry-fit them to the rear of the fuselage. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding resin. The inside of the nozzles comes out once painted in metallic shades and brought up with a wash.
