F4U-4 — an Eduard set of masking stencils are precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for the glazing and the wheels of Vought F4U-4 Corsair models in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is neither paint nor a kit, but a set of pre-die-cut masking stencils for a model of the Vought F4U-4 Corsair. The masks are made of thin self-adhesive kabuki tape (Japanese washi paper), which follows the shape of the cockpit frames and the other glazing exactly. You stick them on before spraying, so that the frames and the clear parts get a crisp, clean transition without laboriously painting them in by hand.
The Vought F4U-4 was a late high-performance version of the famous American Corsair carrier-based fighter with its characteristic inverted gull wing and a radial engine. It was deployed at the end of the Second World War and in the Korean War.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing, seat it exactly on the part and press it against the edges. Spray in thin coats and take the tape off while the finish is freshly dry, so that the edge does not peel away.
These are masking stencils, not paint or a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
