A sheet of water-slide decals in 1:72 scale from Star Decals. It is not a model but a set of markings for finished plastic models of French tanks that the Germans captured in 1940 and that the FFI units took back during the liberation. The set covers the heavy Char Renault B1 bis, the medium Somua S 35 and generic recognition markings of the French resistance.
The French tanks B1 bis and Somua S 35 taken in 1940 served for some time in German hands before the resistance units gained them again during the liberation of France. The vehicles thus went through several re-markings, which leads to interesting combinations of French and improvised insignia.
Varnish the base to a gloss. Cut the piece out, dip it in lukewarm water and, once it has released, slide it onto the model. On texture use a decal softener and finally go over the markings with a clear varnish of the gloss you have chosen.
This is a set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
