Fw 200C Condor photo-etched landing flaps (1:72, Eduard, for Revell)

A photo-etched detail set (not an aircraft model). It contains finely etched landing flaps for the German long-range Focke-Wulf Fw 200C Condor in 1:72 scale. The etched parts replace the thick plastic flaps in the kit and make it possible to show them lowered with a true metal thickness and structure. The set is intended for the Fw 200C Condor kit in 1:72 scale by Revell. It is made by Eduard, the Czech maker from Obrnice near Most, a world leader in photo-etch.

Fitting and use

• Check that your base kit is the Fw 200C Condor in 1:72 scale by Revell.
• Cut the parts from the etched fret with a sharp knife on a firm surface; do not bend them while they are still in the fret.
• Make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool or with a metal ruler, so that they are sharp and straight.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or two-part epoxy; degrease the etch before gluing.
• Lay down a primer before painting, so that the paint holds on the smooth metal.
