The set contains color pre-printed photo-etched seat belts for the cockpit of the Messerschmitt Bf-109E-4 and E-7 fighters in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces flat plastic or molded belts with a faithful multi-layer substitute. The STEEL range is etched on thin steel foil, so the parts are springier, hold the sag of the belts better, and the color printing has more shades and shading than ordinary brass etching.
Release the parts carefully from the fret and shape them so that the belts drape naturally over the seat and the edges of the cockpit. Use a drop of super glue to bond the buckles. The belts bring a great deal of life to an otherwise empty interior and are visible through an open canopy.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit; the kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
