A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin sharpens up the pilot's seat of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified part from the box with a faithfully drawn seat with thin shell edges and, where applicable, suggested belts, which arise from plastic in this scale only with difficulty. The set is meant for more advanced modelers with experience of resin.
Under a slid-back canopy the seat is easy to see, and its detail markedly lifts the impression of a finished model. The casting captures the fine pressings and clean edges, thanks to which the cockpit gains depth and scale credibility once it is painted and picked out with a wash. Even in a small scale such a small part noticeably raises the level of the build.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
