The Eduard photo-etched set for the G4M Betty 1:72 is a photo-etched detail accessory for refining the plastic kit of this Japanese naval bomber, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for refining the plastic kit of the twin-engined Mitsubishi G4M bomber, given the Allied reporting name Betty. The thin metal parts replace and complete small features that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic, typically cockpit details, the instrument panel, controls, seat belts and fine exterior parts. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The Mitsubishi G4M was a Japanese twin-engined land-based bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service of the Second World War period, with a long range. The Allies gave it the reporting name Betty; the machine was used across the Pacific theater as a bomber and as a torpedo carrier.
Separate the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Areas finished in color can be picked out with a brush, while matte metal parts should be given a primer before varnishing. Working with fine photo-etched parts calls for tweezers and a sharp knife and suits advanced builders better.
This is an accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
