1:72 Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 BASIC Kabuki Masks

Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 BASIC kabuki masks (1:72, New Ware)

A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks of kabuki (washi) paper tape for a model of the Gloster Meteor jet fighter in the F.8 and FR.9 versions in 1:72 scale. The masks follow the canopy frames and make a sharp spray finish on the glazing possible. The BASIC version covers the glazing, the other clear parts, the wheels and the nose section.

Use

• Clean and degrease the glazing and move the mask pieces with tweezers.
• Press the film down around the edges of the frames, so that paint does not creep underneath.
• Spray thin coats; take the mask off while the paint is still fresh.

The real subject

The Gloster Meteor was the first British production jet fighter; the F.8 version was the main postwar fighter variant and the FR.9 its photo-reconnaissance form.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want sharp glazing without masking by hand.
• Builders of aircraft models in 1:72 scale.

These are painting masks, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
