Waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for plastic models of the Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber in the early form with side cockpit doors, the so-called car door version. The sheet brings national insignia, squadron codes and the personal markings of RAF machines. The decals are applied over gloss varnish and add period-accurate markings to the model.

The real subject

The Hawker Typhoon was a British fighter-bomber with the massive Napier Sabre engine. Early machines had a cockpit with automobile-style side doors and a framed canopy; only the later versions were given a bubble canopy. The Typhoon made its name above all as a ground-attack aircraft, with bombs and unguided rockets.

Use

• Apply them over gloss varnish so that the decal does not silver.
• Release the item in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Pull the decal into the engraved lines and onto curved surfaces with a decal softener.
• Seal it with a matte clear varnish.
