Heinkel He 162B-4 from the Volksjäger 46 series in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker AZ model: a kit of a project form that was never built or flown.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the He 162B-4 in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker AZ model. This item closes the lower half of the Volksjäger 46 series, which is devoted exclusively to designs without realization. An aircraft in this form never came into being, the model is a reconstruction of a project and the markings on the decals are hypothetical.
The original He 162 was a small single-engine jet aircraft designed as a simple and quickly producible machine of mixed construction, with the engine on the back of the fuselage and a twin vertical tail. The designs of the B series were to differ from it in a lengthened fuselage, a larger fuel load and a modified wing, that is, in changes aimed at range and handling. It stayed at drawings. The suffix 46 in the name of the series is a common modeling convention for projects set in a hypothetical year 1946.
Start the assembly with the cockpit and the nose section, which has to be finished before closing the fuselage. With the twin vertical tail, try the angle of both parts dry in advance. Because this is a hypothetical machine, it makes sense to choose a simple late scheme and rather restrained wear, since exaggerated weathering on an aircraft that never flew looks out of place. Spray a gloss clear coat under the decals and finish the completed model with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
