Self-adhesive glazing masks for the Handley Page Victor aircraft in 1:72 scale, for the B.Mk.2(BS) and K.Mk.1 versions. Cut for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Handley Page Victor was a British four-engine jet bomber, one of the three machines of the so-called V series. Its recognition marks were the crescent wing leading edge and a high-set tail. Part of the aircraft were later converted into a tanker form, in which the machines served substantially longer than in the bomber role.
The set is intended for masking the glazing during painting. According to the name it covers the B.Mk.2(BS) and K.Mk.1 versions and is cut for the Airfix kit in 1:72 scale.
Wash and degrease the glazing before applying, and touch only the edges of the part with your fingers. Apply the masks before spraying and press the edges down with a wooden stick or a toothpick so that paint does not run under them. In a small scale the masks are tiny, so carry them on the point of a blade or with tweezers and lay them down starting from one edge. Lay the paint on in several thin coats; one heavy coat creates a ridge at the edge of a mask. Once it has dried, take the mask off pulling at a slight angle.
The set suits anyone who does not want to cut glazing out of tape in 1:72 scale and wants the frames equally wide along their whole length. The glass moreover stays protected from overspray throughout the painting. This is an accessory: the kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
