A painting mask for the Polikarpov I-16 type 5 in 1:72 scale by Omask, precisely cut masks for spraying the glazing and other areas of a model cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of painting masks by Omask is meant for masking while a model of the Polikarpov I-16 type 5 fighter in 1:72 scale is sprayed. It is neither paint nor a kit: these are precisely cut self-adhesive masks that cover the cockpit frames and other areas, so that after spraying the edges come out sharp and clean with no seepage. The masks are designed for the kit of this type by Zvezda.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet monoplane fighter of the 1930s, nicknamed Ishak, or Rata by its opponents. The type 5 is one of the early production versions with a radial engine and a short, stubby fuselage. The broken-up cockpit glazing and the small areas are among the places where masking by hand is awkward.
For modelers building the I-16 in 1:72 who want to speed up masking and achieve sharp transitions. It suits work with an airbrush above all.
The set contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
