This is not a kit but a small accessory for figures and dioramas in 1:72 scale. The brand offers the same Italian Mod. 33 pattern helmet in this scale in two versions and tells them apart in the name with the word detail: this is that second version. What the two versions differ in is set out by the manufacturer's description on the box; the number of pieces and the material are given there as well.
The Italian Elmetto Mod. 33 steel helmet was introduced in 1933 and replaced the older French-type Adrian helmet. The smooth shell with its gently drawn-in brim accompanied the Italian soldier through the whole Second World War: in North Africa, in Greece, in the Balkans, in Italy and with the corps committed on the Eastern Front. After 1945 it stayed in use for many more years, so it will serve postwar subjects as well.
In 1:72 scale this is a very small part, so work over a tray with a raised edge and with fine-tipped tweezers. Separate it with a sharp knife, level the small face left by the cut with fine paper and wash the surface before painting. Super glue tends to be safer than cement for plastic on parts this small. Apply the paint thinly so that the edges do not get flooded and support the shape with a lighter dry brush around the rim of the shell. Use a wash sparingly: in this scale it is enough just to suggest a shadow under the brim.
