A resin cockpit detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a more accurate replica. The set typically contains the instrument panel, the side panels, the ejection seat and further elements of the cockpit. It is made for the J35FS version and meant for fitting into a matching plastic model.
The Saab 35 Draken is a Swedish supersonic fighter characterized by a double delta wing, which gave it good flying qualities and the ability to operate from short strips. The J35FS version is one of the modernized variants of this type. The Draken served not only in Sweden but was also exported to further users, where it stayed in service for many years.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The instruments come out after spraying with an airbrush and bringing them up with a dry brush and a wash. Dry-fit the parts before the fuselage is closed.
