Eduard 1:72 masks Ki-46 III Dinah is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set of kabuki tape for masking the canopy glazing and the wheels of a model of the Japanese reconnaissance aircraft. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks of fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Mitsubishi Ki-46 reconnaissance aircraft, version III, in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit and not a finished model but an accessory that makes masking easier and more accurate when spraying paint.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the long glazing of both cockpits and onto the wheel rims, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to rounded shapes, holds tightly and leaves no glue behind when peeled off. Divided glazing then comes out with crisp straight frames and no hand cutting of tape.
The Mitsubishi Ki-46 (Allied code name Dinah) was a Japanese twin-engine army reconnaissance aircraft, prized for its elegant aerodynamic shape and its high speed. The III version had a reworked, smoothly glazed nose and more powerful engines, and it was among the fastest machines of its category.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
